Boo Seungkwan Responds to Daylight Chase Suspicion: “I Just Wanted to Get Away From the Situation”

On May 7, SEVENTEEN‘s Seungkwan posted on the fan platform ‘Weverse’, saying, “I overdid it with running yesterday, and my legs got really sore. It just so happened that it was a hill, and I ended up doing this weird chase scene by myself.”
He added, “There might have been some people wondering why I was doing that, so I’m explaining it as a funny yet awkward episode.”
Previously, a video showing Seungkwan running up a hill began circulating on online communities. It was filmed near the P1Harmony showcase in Yongsan, Seoul. Seungkwan explained, “I was walking to help digest, and at the time, P1Harmony was having their comeback event. People recognized me, so I thought it might escalate, so I ran off.”
He added, “That’s just me,” showcasing his usual humorous side.
Fans who saw the post reacted with comments like, “Why does this only happen to Seungkwan?”, “The variety god is helping him,” and “He must have just wanted to get away quickly, but it’s so cute and endearing.”
Seungkwan often receives the phrase “Life is a sitcom” for unintentionally providing moments of laughter.
Back in 2021, Seungkwan shared on the fan community, “When Twice was having their comeback around the same time, I jokingly suggested that we should have a joint comeback. But the seniors didn’t get the joke, and I felt like I wanted to die. I still remember Momo’s expression, and it gives me chills.”
Luckily, Seungkwan overcame that trauma and later made light of it by posting a challenge video during BSS (Boo Seungkwan, Joshua, DK)’s “Fighting” activities, saying, “If you’re going to do this, don’t consult with the company—just do it, fighting!”
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will release their 5th studio album, HAPPY BURSTDAY, on May 26. This album marks their 10th anniversary, with Jeonghan and Wonwoo, who are currently serving in the military, recording their parts before enlisting.
